Sweeping Color

The colors flow through me as I sweep the brush across the canvas. Another strong player in this one is the palette knife. He spreads the buttery paint on in thick layers and cuts into the deeper areas.

Untitled and Unfinished

I went to the Artists in Action at the Paul Sawyier Gallery in Frankfort tonight and started this painting. Will post tomorrow when I finish it!

The strength and majesty of Fresians and Gypsy Vanner horses takes our attention. I love their flowing mane and tails, along with their "feather" of hair on their legs.

Color Me Blue

With all the rain we've had, I guess my Blue Series has been fitting. This fella reminds me of a Chinese ink drawing. I enjoyed letting the brush dance and tickle the canvas. 

Day 13 isn't so bad, after all. 

This study was the fastest painting I've done for this challenge, and I really like how it turned out.

Simplifying my palette had allowed me to focus on value and contrast, which I'm loving!
