This study in oils with yellow and purple allows me to focus on value and minimal use of color.

His power is so strong and comes at the strangest times, so be on the alert for Him. He may appear to you from "out of nowhere."

I'm getting interested in ink drawings, so bear with me while I experiment. I enjoy doing horse paintings more than any other. I just hope I can express them even more elegantly. I've got to keep a humble state of mind and not think more highly of myself than I ought (Romans 12:3).

Leslie Saeta's 30 Day Painting Challenge - let's say, "Yay, for me!" At the beginning, I was thinking I couldn't do it, but I knew the challenge would help me feel more accountable. In life, we have to share ourselves with others, sometimes so we will continue to do good things or stop doing bad things. Accountability can help us be better people. I have used a few older paintings for this challenge recently, but I'm getting back into making new stuff and I feel energized! I'm high-stepping now!

Using lots of color has become addictive. The flat surface of the board is more appealing to me than the canvas right now. I like the slick paint as it spreads on the surface.
