Dueling Stallions

Dueling Stallions
Each stands alone
9x12x2" wooden box
Work in progress

These two stallions are struggling, yet not on the same dimension. I'm getting the layout set before I paint them. I'll lay in some color with acrylic, maybe overlaying it with oils later. They're starting out realistic, but I have a feeling they're going to tear into one another and get abstract before it's over. Looking forward to playing with color!

Day 19 of 30 Day Painting Challenge

Old Gray Mare
9x12" oil on Gessobord

Using lots of color has become addictive. The flat surface of the board is more appealing to me than the canvas right now. I like the slick paint as it spreads on the surface. Look more closely at the splashes of color in the background.  This painting has been purchased, but please email me if you want one like it for your own (www.prsrtst@yahoo.com).
Thanks for taking a moment to look at my art. I hope you feel joy and excitement!

Loved this Knabstrupper's looks at the Kentucky Horse Park recently! The World Equestrian Games are almost here! Painting is taking a back seat to my graduate work right now. I am doing commissions for the holidays. Pet portraits or any special subject matter. Contact me for pricing. Let me bring color into your life!

When we seem burdened by life and all the "busy-ness," take time to realize the beauty of each new day and the greatness of our Lord.

"His compassions fail not, they are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness." Lamentations 3:22-23
